At LimaTours, we celebrated our 69th anniversary with an enriching visit to Cajamarca. The day brought together team members from our Lima, Cusco, Puno, and Arequipa offices, as well as representatives from our regional team. This initiative, part of an institutional tradition, aims to strengthen internal cohesion and promote firsthand knowledge of the destinations within our portfolio.
What places did we visit in Cajamarca?
On the first day, we visited some of the region’s most emblematic sites, seeking to immerse ourselves in knowledge and new experiences. We took a city tour through the main square, visited several churches, the famous Ransom Room, and the “San Francisco” Convent Museum. A visit to the Ventanas de Otuzco, a pre-Hispanic archaeological site carved into rock, was a must on this day, which we ended with panoramic views from the Santa Apolonia Lookout.

On the second day, our journey took us to Cumbemayo, known for its rock formations and pre-Inca canals, remarkable examples of the ingenuity of the Cajamarca culture from a thousand years before Christ. This visit allowed us to appreciate, firsthand, the historical, cultural, and natural richness of the province.
It also served as the perfect setting for an annual gathering where we highlighted the importance of strengthening service excellence, promoting continuous training, encouraging sustainability, and celebrating the achievements reached over the past year.
"I am proud to have a team that not only delivers, but exceeds expectations. This anniversary will remain a beautiful memory for all of us."

These days not only allowed us to reconnect with the essence of the destination, but also reaffirmed the value of sharing moments that strengthen our identity as the LimaTours family. As we celebrate nearly 70 years of history, we look toward the future with gratitude, enthusiasm, and the conviction that together we will continue building new chapters in the history of tourism in Peru and, from now on, throughout the Latin American region.
