Sustainable tourism aims to create travel experiences that respect the environment, celebrate local culture, and contribute to the well-being of communities. At LimaTours, this commitment is embedded in our DNA as a tour operator, driving us to actively support sustainable initiatives in different regions across Peru.
At LimaTours, we approach sustainability through three key pillars:
We strive to grow alongside our community partners, employees, suppliers, and local communities, creating shared development opportunities and generating benefits for everyone involved. For example, we have helped train 336 women artisans, improve living conditions in 129 households, welcome more than 5,300 visitors, and provide educational support to children and young people in the community of Huilloc, Cusco. Through these efforts, we have strengthened and demonstrated our commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of hundreds of people through collaboration and solidarity.
We are also committed to protecting the planet and preserving our rich cultural heritage, ensuring that our activities are carried out responsibly while safeguarding natural resources. At the organizational level, we have supported the installation of more than 20 solar water heaters in Huilloc and the planting of thousands of trees in the Vilcanota mountain range. In addition, we contribute to a more environmentally friendly Peru by educating travelers on environmental conservation, promoting waste segregation during our tours, reducing paper consumption, and providing water refill stations for passengers’ reusable bottles.
Finally, we are committed to strengthening Peru as a tourism destination by enhancing its recognition both nationally and internationally through high-quality services that contribute to a positive, accessible, and sustainable image of the country. In doing so, we support local businesses in every destination where we operate, while expanding our portfolio to include experiences in lesser-known and decentralized locations, helping distribute the benefits of tourism more broadly across the country.

As part of LATA Expo, on June 8, we were honored at the LATA Responsible Tourism Awards 2026, where we received the Gold Award in the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion category. This recognition inspires us to continue working alongside local communities, partners, employees, and travelers to demonstrate that tourism can be a powerful driver of sustainable development throughout Peru.
Camille Champenois, Business Development Manager, and José Pedraza, our CEO, represented LimaTours at the event and proudly accepted the award on behalf of the company. The ceremony provided an opportunity to share this significant achievement with leading figures from the international tourism industry and to celebrate the growing recognition of initiatives that create a positive impact on destinations, local communities, and the future of sustainable tourism.
